How To Meditate for Clarity and Self-Awareness

Who controls your thoughts?

Let’s find out.

Take a deep breath and clear your mind. In fact, you can take a few more, maybe five more deep breaths. Here’s how: Stop, be still, take a deep breath in through your nostrils, breath out through your mouth and let your shoulders sink down into a relax position.

#1 Find a quiet place

#2 Be Still (while sitting or standing) for 5-10 mins

-You can set an alarm for the duration of the time you prefer.

#3 Close your eyes

Closing your eyes helps eliminate any physical distractions your eyes may see while they’re open.

#4 Listen to learn your thoughts

Learn to let your thoughts run as they float into your mind, play the role of the reader or listener, listener to see what the thoughts are and attempt to remember them. “I’m on my own.” “I have to get the car wash.” “I’m so upset.” “Beast mode.”

#5 Filter negative thoughts by rejecting them and only keeping in the positive thoughts.

To clear out the thoughts and to look at them more closely, you can grab them and use a journal to write down all the thoughts, the positive and negative. Be sure to keep all the positive thoughts. These thoughts will increase self-awareness of the thought patterns you have and will help you understand what you’re still thinking and carrying around.

Live life awaken,

Annika
