5 Reasons to Wait

These 5 reasons to wait include:

  1. Little to No Regrets

Isaiah 40:31

But those who wait (hope) in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

When we wait, we are able to pace ourselves and rest when needed. God is faithful, He will not allow us to be tempted more than we can bear.

No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy]. 1 Corinthians 10:13

Wait so your strength can be renewed, so that you can soar, can run and not grow weary and can walk and not faint.

  • Strategic Preparation

When we wait we can strategically prepare and plan ahead of time. We can plan for peace, plan financially with a budget, prepare for marriage through emotional wholeness and intentional time studying God’s word. It is also a time to put into practice what we learn. The more we are prepared, the more secure and assured we can be come what may. Why not take the time to be ready and prepared in advance?

       Ephesians 2:10

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Even God planned ahead of time.

  • Self-Discovery
    • Ask yourself: Do I really know who I am? Do I really know why I am here?

During the waiting season, one can learn about self and even reinvent and transform ourselves with the wisdom and help of God and others. This is critical so as to be self-aware and self-sufficient and not settle for safe. Only God knows the ultimate plan for our lives and therefore only He can reveal it.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

  • True Fulfillment

When you know you are right in the place God wants you to be, divine alignment, you will feel fulfilled. The right connections, understanding, provision will be a delight.

Psalm 37: 3-5

3 Trust in the Lord and do good.

Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.

4 Take delight in the Lord,

and he will give you your heart’s desires.

5 Commit everything you do to the Lord.

Trust him, and he will help you.

  • Peace

1 Peter 3:11 Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.

Waiting is a calling. The real test of faith is waiting-where you turn from idols and turn to serve God.

God acts on behalf of those who wait for Him. God also gives us instructions and directions on how to actively wait.

Love is waiting. Love is waiting until you’re ready. Who is love? God is love. God is waiting until we’re ready. God waits until we’re ready before He brings anything or anyone into our lives.

Just like when google page website crashes, and it asks you if you want to wait for the page to reload or to let it go and open a new tab, starting the search all over again. If you don’t wait, you’ll destroy it, over and over again.

You can destroy by self-delaying your destiny, your future, your purpose, your blessing.

The vision is for an appointed time. (Hab. 2:3) OR

Don’t risk cutting off God’s blessing (Lev. 18:9, 20:17)

So, These were the 5 reasons to wait.

You forfeit God’s favor if you don’t wait.

One of the ways God will answer is He will give you a delayed answer. The Lord answers our prayers by saying “wait”. We must embrace the mindset and attitude of preparing for the long term while we wait.

The waiting, therefore=preparation. Waiting is for consecration.

The Preservation of a glorious testimony-So God can get all the glory, which He so rightly deserves!!

Waiting is also protection from shame (Ps. 33:20, Isa. 49:23). Also, all of life lived is the waiting of the promise return of the second coming of Jesus Christ.

So, These were the 5 reasons to wait.

So rest my friend, and wait.
